The Rabbit’s Mansion (WIP)

The Rabbit’s Mansion is a side project I realised in Unreal Engine 4 during a week-end (in 17 hours). My main goal was to relearn the basics of the engine while creating a level that can be dressed by a level artist after.

Design Intentions:

  • Design a level that reminds of Alice In Wonderland;
  • Create a level centered on a shrink & grow mechanic and a few ingredients;
  • Design puzzles in which you can’t get stuck without using a rollback action;
  • Put the emphasis on the curious rabbit wandering around the level;

Constraints:

  • Doing a complete walkthrough with rough mechanics in 2 days (17 hours of work);
  • Use Alice In Wonderland scenes to define the core mechanic of shrink & grow;
  • Include some short level sequences to put the emphasis on the player’s goal;
